You
can eat guinea pigs?!! You bet we do! Believe it or
not our guinea pigs are extremely tasty and fun to cook!
Simple too - here's how to do it...
| Ingredients: |

- 225g (8oz) self raising flour
|

| |
- icing pens in various colours
|
| |
- Chocolate buttons, Smarties, raisins etc as optional
decoration
|
Method: |
| 1. Sift the flour and salt into
a mixing bowl. Rub in the butter finely until the mixture resembles
fine breadcrumbs, then add the sugar. Mix to a very stiff dough
with the beaten egg. |

2. Turn out onto a lightly floured
board and knead gently until smooth. Put into a polyhene bag or wrap
in aluminium foil and leave to chill for about 30 minutes |
| 3. Roll out thinly and cut into
guinea pig shapes - allow your artistic imagination to run free!Put
the cookies onto greased baking sheets

4. Bake in an oven pre-heated to
180°C (350°F) - Gas Mark 4, for 20-30 minutesor until they're
pale golden brown and smelling good. Carefully take the tray out
of the oven and leave until they are completley cool and firm and
ready for decorating.
Decorate your cookies using icing pens to trace lines, chocolate
buttons for ears or eyes... and anything else you find suitable!
